Gather a minimal, modular desk organizer to help you cut through the clutter. It’s completely customizable and adapts to however you want to use it. The grid system allows each of the pieces to be rotated or positioned anywhere along the base and the magnets allow you to attach additional pieces.

Gather officially in production

Wanted to send a quick update to let you know that things are still progressing nicely with Gather. Thousands of Gathers are being manufactured as we speak.
After a couple rounds of production samples, we decided to add a few small details to improve the quality and functionality of Gather. While these changes were important, this will end up pushing things back a couple weeks. We are still waiting for an official delivery date from our manufacturer, but we hope to have products in our hands by the end of December and shipped to you in January.

What did we change?
First, we added four small recesses to the underside of the base to allow you to optionally attach small rubber feet to prevent Gather from sliding around on almost any surface. These feet help stabilize the base and hold it in place.
Second, we sourced an even higher quality plastic for the top pieces. The new plastic is actually the same material that Apple uses on their products, and the smooth finish looks amazing in person.

Finally, to make sure you know you have an authentic Gather®, we laser-etched Gather logo and “Patent Pending” (we have our provisional patent filed) to the underside of the base board. The samples turned out really nice, and we think it really completes the whole product.

Lots of exciting progress happening with Gather. All of the raw materials have been ordered and our manufacturer is gearing up to produce several thousand Gather sets. Super exciting to see this all take shape at such a large scale!

Even better than I expected
I received the first production samples from our manufacturer and they turned out amazing! These are the first parts from the injection molds. The overall quality and surface finish are even better than I anticipated. Everything is about 99% perfect and we’re working on the last few little details to produce the best product we can.
The pins are being overmolded into the plastic parts which ensures a sturdy connection and super clean look. This means the molten plastic is actually formed around the metal pins rather than inserting them after the parts are made.
The headphone stand connection is also improved. The grommet that holds the metal bar in place feels super snug.

After 3+ years of work, Gather is officially becoming a reality in a big way.
Thanks for an incredible Kickstarter campaign! I had big hopes for Gather, but honestly never imagined it would go this big. The positive response and excitement around Gather blew me away. I can't wait to get Gather in your hands so you can see and feel it in person.
We finished our campaign strong with a huge rush right at the end with a total of $430,960 pledged, 2578 backers, and 2394% funded.

What’s Next
We’ve already been working closely with our manufacturer to start the tooling for the injection molds and get everything setup for production. We should have the first samples within the next couple of weeks. After that there will likely be a few more rounds of sampling to refine the details to get ready for the full production run.

Surveys
In the next few weeks, we will be sending out a survey through BackerKit where you’ll be able to select your wood color, add any additional pieces you might want, and confirm your shipping address.
(We’ll also be sending another confirmation email right before we ship your rewards where you’ll be able to update your shipping address in case you moved.)
